Football Stadium Ground-hoping ⚽️🏟

Often times, each stadium has its own story and unique character. This is a short summary of my journey visiting some stadiums around the globe.

Westfalenstadion - Dortmund

Sometimes, I got a chance to get a free ticket from the company I am working for. Since our company own multiple seasonal ticket, that means we can attend every home game of Borussia Dortmund.

I have attended the Bundesliga matches several times, one time Champions league group round and 1 international friendly game between Germany against Argentina.

Located 1,5 kms away from my apartment, the stadium and BVB match experience is not something you can imagine. The yellow wall,  the fan culture, the euphoria. One of the best football match experience.

Vonovia Stadion - VFL Bochum

I and my wife were lucky, we got a free VVIP ticket for a 2. Bundesliga match between VFL Bochum and Wiesbaden. The stadium itself is not that big. Approximately 15.000 attendance were coming to the match that day.

We had a lunch in the VIP lounge few hours before kickoff. We met some club legends, we shared tables with the sponsors, officials and some other club partners.

The game ended in 3-3 draw, we got a seat just behind the press seatings. Since, we sat down with non regular, the atmosphere is a bit off. But, 6 goals thriller paid it off. The VIP service was superb.

Camp Nou - Barcelona

The home of FC Barcelona, I was lucky enough to have visited both mini estadi and Camp Nou, which both are in the same complex. There was a Barca B game when I visit, wasn't that crowdy, but the Barca tour experience is better than at the Bernabeu.

Situated far away from the downtown, it takes 30 minutes t0 45 minutes by underground train to reach the complex. As a Cules myself, it was overall spectacular experience. Will be there again for the matchday experience (hopefully 2021)
